Fluidized baths are excellent for calibrating all types of temperature sensors, and are the first choice for large, odd-shaped, or multiple sensors. They heat up quickly, but cool very slowly, so they work the best if left at a constant temperature. Most labs use two or more units for multi-point calibrations. They are by far the fastest to stabilize when calibrating filled bulb-type sensors. These units should be used with an air filter, a pressure regulator, and a temperature controller. The temperature controllers replace the standard controller and provide precise increments of 1¡ÆF-999¡ÆF or 1¡ÆC-600¡ÆC, depending on model. Stability is 0.4¡ÆF.
