Rugged combination electrodes which have flat measuring surfaces are available for pH
Viscous Material Operation
Viscous materials flow by the electrode¡¯s flat measuring surface in shear. Flow in shear causes new material to uniformly displace the old material. Fresh material at the electrode¡¯s surface is essential for accuracy.
In the center of the measuring surface is the pH-responsive flat glass surface. This surface is surrounded by the flat porous plastic reference junction. The large area of this porous junction has thousands of pores that provide excellent sample contact.
Built into the electrode¡¯s body is a sealed, gel-filled double junction reference design. This design provides an extra barrier against reference side contamination. Also, it allows the electrodes to be used in applications where sulfides, mercaptans, heavy metal ions and similar materials are present.

Insertion Assembly

The Insertion Assembly allows pH measurements to be made in pressurized tanks and main lines without the need for system shutdown for electrode maintenance. Its adjustable insertion depth allows it to be positioned in a turbulent flow region so as to operate in the self-cleaning mode. Available with 12, 18 and 24" insertion depths.

Submersion Assembly

The Model S653 has a 1¨ù2" MNPT thread to which a coupling and length of supporting pipe can be attached for submersion applications. It is also used when cables must be installed in conduit
• Electrode Connects to Adapter via BNC Connector • S653 supplied with 10' cable • Lengths up to 100 feet available with amplifier.

In-Line Assembly
In-Line mountings are ideal for replacing existing 3¨ù4" threaded electrodes. They are useful in piping systems where flow can be shut off for electrode maintenance and where flow rates match the applications needs; for example, turbulent flow is needed in self-cleaning applications. A simple, re-usable 3/4" MNPT gland is used to mount the electrode in mating openings.

¡¡

Rugged combination electrodes which have flat measuring surfaces are available for pH and for REDOX (ORP) applications. In both coating and abrasive applications these cartridge type electrodes can improve measurement accuracy, reduce maintenance, prolong electrode life and virtually eliminate breakage.

Self-Cleaning Operation
This simple but effective system has no moving parts and requires no power. When the electrode¡¯s flat measuring surface is exposed to turbulent flow, the resulting scrubbing action provides a self-cleaning effect in most applications.

Abrasion Free Operation
Particles sweep by flat measuring surface to minimize abrasion and extent electrode life.
