PEEK housing and cord grip - PEEK is a high-end thermoplastic renowned for its chemical resistance and mechanical strength. The cord grip is a significant feature because it helps to protect the sensor¡¯s internal components.
Many competitors use a simple rubber or polyethylene jacket on the back of the sensor, or simply leave the back end of the sensor exposed, making the sensor more susceptible to failure
Pt1000 RTD - The temperature element used in Quantum sensors is highly accurate and provides a highly linear output. This is one of the best available temperature compensation devices
Integral Preamplifier - In all parameters except conductivity, the sensor contains a preamplifier that enables a maximum sensor-to-transmitter distance of up to 1000 feet for D.O., and 3000 feet for pH and ORP
Dual O-ring seals - all seals use 2 o-rings made of 2 different materials (Viton, EDPM). This adds to the chemical resistance of the sensor
Transmitter (General)
Microprocessor-based, loop-powered - output signal is 4-20 mA
Large, high contrast display - custom display includes 2 lines of data; display messages are in clear language (no ¡°Error Codes¡± to look up in a manual)
Security Lock - Prevents unauthorized tampering with settings. All settings can be viewed while locked, but they cannot be changed
Universal mounting bracket - transmitter can be mounted to a wall, DIN rail, panel, pipe, or directly on the back of the sensor
Fully isolated - protected from surge and brownout. |

High Volume Saltbridge - maximizes the service life of the sensor by minimizing rate of contamination of the reference solution. The saltbridge is replaceable
A second pH reference electrode is reference element of the sensor. This is what makes the Quantum sensor better than the ¡°combination-style¡± sensors on the market: the reference element is protected from chemical attack
Electrode breakage diagnostic
Transmitters can be used with other ¡°combination-style¡± sensors. This is the one area in which there is compatibility with competitive sensors.
If the application is such that the customer requires a cheap disposable sensor, etc., our pH and ORP transmitters will function with those as well |

3-electrode Polarographic sensor - best technology for long-term measurement stability
Replaceable electrolyte cartridge - cartridge contains electrodes, electrolyte and membrane. Cumbersome membrane replacement is unnecessary
Membrane tear diagnostic
Conductivity System
4-electrode sensor type - greater accuracy than 2-electrode type, also enables precise monitoring even as electrodes are coated with chemical deposits
Titanium electrodes - greater chemical resistance
Electrode coating/fouling diagnostic
Selectable manual or automatic ranging |
