| The Chameleon is a single instrument that adapts to the needs of both novice and advanced users. Every Chameleon comes standard with Feature Pack 1, providing the most basic functions of a sound level meter. Additional Feature Packs may be purchased separately to change the Chameleon’s functionality.
Operational in 5 easy steps in 5 minutes or less
- Turn ON — Press the ON/OFF button
- Calibrate — Press the CALIB button, insert the microphone into the calibrator, turn the calibrator on, let the displayed reading stabilize and press the CALIB button a second time. Remove the calibrator.
- Collect Data — Press the RUN/PAUSE button to begin storing data. Press the RUN/PAUSE button a second time to stop storing data.
- View Readings — Press the VIEW DATA button repeatedly to scroll through measurement data.
- Clear Memory — Press the CLEAR button. CLR appears on the display. Press the CLEAR button a second time and the memory is cleared.
